Identity
Our body is the carrier of culture. Ink is a symbol of culture. Culture is the notation of identity.
A kind of fluidity is expressed through imageries of the body, ink and sweat. Ink that bleeds and blurs on the body inspires us to contemplate and see through “IDENTITY”. As wars and global crises emerge all over the world, we are torn between an intense confusion and confrontation that is in ironic contrast to the inviolable dignity, freedom and welfare of human beings, as proclaimed in the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This work calls for a questioning and reflection on the contemporary environment, the state of society and the world we are now in.
